The Turkish Child Neurology Society was founded in Ankara, with the aims of:

Increasing recognition of childhood neurological disorders, their causes, treatment, and particularly, their prevention.

Gathering professionals working in this field: child neurologists, pediatricians, child psychiatrists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, obstetricians, ear-nose-throat specialists, ophthalmologists, general practitioners, public health specialists, psychologists, physical therapists, speech and language therapists, child development specialists, social workers, nurses, midwives, special education teachers to work closely in one society.

Working at national level on the problems included in the field of Child Neurology, and on their solutions.

Keeping research activities up-to date, exchanging information among society members, training professionals by organizing conferences, seminars and courses on childrens’ neurological problems.

Representing Turkey at international meetings, encouraging and supporting research, database formation and case registration, publications on child neurology in Turkey.
